The Power of Hope

I thought this was a beautiful message and very fitting for a motivational thought. We may have hope for and in things that range from the small and eternally insignificant to the eternally profound. Every day I have the hope that I will be able to get in a run, that I will be able to stay calm around my children and not yell so much, that I will have some time to just visit with and enjoy my hubby's company. Longer term hopes include the hope that my children will grow up well adjusted and happy in spite of all the mistakes I am making in raising them, and that we will all enjoy good health, safety, and friendships throughout our lives.

My eternal hopes include being able to live my life in a way that will be worthy of the sacrifices that have been made on my behalf by parents, teachers, youth leaders and most importantly our Savior Jesus Christ. I know He loves me regardless, but won't it be nice to know that I really did try my best to be a kind loving person who was willing to forgive and serve others.

So even though I am enjoying a happy period in my life without any major trials of suffering, I can appreciate this video clip. And I have the hope that when trials reassert themselves, which they always do, I will have the strength to endure and overcome.
