Soundtrack for my book

This post has nothing to do with running or eating! Isn't that strange? I wanted to post it on my family blog, but that would require me to shut off the music I normally have playing in the background. :) Hey, its my blog and I can do what I want, right?

Anyway, I'm copying another good idea from Hoontah and sharing some of the songs that are part of my current writing inspiration. These are obviously linked to the emotional side of the story. I think I need to start picking some metal for the more emotionally charged battle and chase scenes--which are currently top of my list to "fix". Until then, here are songs that every time I hear them I relate to some part of my story. Some of the songs fit more than one situation, and for some of the songs it is just the emotion attached to it or just the chorus that I relate to the story. Here are five songs that I listen to over and over right now and where I fit them into the story.

1. This is how Talia's mom supported her and eventually how Landry will support her.
2. Landry wants to save Talia. Who wouldn't? She's beautiful, lost in a way and rushing towards an early grave.
3. Just the chorus on this one. There is a point when the main character has to shed her protective walls and allow herself to really feel for the first time in years.
4. Makes me think of those first stages of a relationship when you are so unsure of what the other person wants. You know what you want but fear keeps you from openly admitting it. "This whole world could change in a minute, just one kiss would stop it from spinning. We could think it through, but I don't want to, if you don't want to"
5. This is when you've finally given in to how much you need someone else in your life. That point when they become everything to you. *sigh* I really love this song.

Enjoy!
