Week 8 Report

Um, weird week. I only ran twice, but both runs were very good.

Wednesday I ran 4.5 miles with my hubby. We ran slow and held a conversation the whole way, which was wonderful. My breathing never became labored and my body never hurt. There is something to be said about going slow! We ran without music and it was nice to just talk with my best friend.

Saturday I ran my 8 miles WITHOUT stopping. Yay for me! With all of our crazy hills I did it in 1:29:22. Once again, I concentrated on slowing down and enjoying it. My breathing was good and I felt good. My legs and hips never complained, but hours later after sitting still for the first time all day, my knees stiffened up and made me feel OLD. They are all good today though. My music started off with a few slower songs (which was a good thing) and then started to speed up 2 miles into the run. I wish I could say I was smart enough to plan it that way, but...

Here is a list of what played during that run. Sorry I didn't pick any specific ones, but here is what my Ipod shows played.

Nice job Charity! Holy cow that is a lot of songs. I've never really thought about it before but you can really rack up the tunes when you're plugging along.

Run one for me this week. I'm out for a few weeks with the flu. Feeling really sorry for myself, it's nice to know someone is out there enjoying the weather.
