Obviously I'm not doing so great on finding and posting motivational thoughts. So, I want to open things up. Email me your motivational thoughts and I'll post them on here. The email address is under my picture.
Last week I logged 9 miles of running plus my strength training activities. My goal for this week is 12 miles. On Saturday I went running with a friend who told me of her friend (yeah, I know!) who runs 50 miles a week! How in the world do you find time to do that? I would like to work up to 15 miles a week. For me that would be just about right. It is so hard to find the time at the moment that I am actually motivated to go. I'll feel like going, but not have anyone to watch Cole for me, or Nathan will be on a conference call (which means I'm locked out of the room and don't have access to my running clothes). Sounds like a cop out, but it did happen one time. An hour later I was busy doing something else.
I don't remember if I mentioned it on this blog or just my family one, but I am taking the Nanowrimo challenge to write 50,000 words of a novel this month. It is keeping me busy, but it has helped me to get motivated to run. Knowing that I am going to spend hours sitting at a desk writing helps me get out the door. When I want to procrastinate writing, I run. It is a great thing because I get the exercise that I need and then I am in a better mind frame to continue my story. Wish me luck, and send in your motivational thoughts.
