Running in the rain

I just thought I would post that I DID go running yesterday. 30 minutes in the rain.

It started raining two minutes into my run. Two minutes! I drag myself out of bed at O'dark in the morning--the sun, moon, and stars should have lined up in my favor. I could have turned around and gone home, but I was already on the road, so I kept going. It wasn't that bad really. The rain stayed light until about mile 2, then it started coming down in earnest. I was at mile 3when my hubby called and said, "I just woke up and realized it was raining. Do you want me to come pick you up?"

I had already decided not to call for rescue, but he called at the very moment that the rain soaked through my last layer--I gave in. Who wants to get sick right before the weather turns nice for the spring season? So, I kept running in an effort to see how far I could get before he found me on the route. I managed to run the whole 30 minutes without stopping and only had six or seven tenths of a mile until reaching home.

Now, I need to get out for a short run at least today and do some intervals.
