* 3 cups all-purpose flour
* 2 and 2/3 cups granulated sugar
* 1 and 1/2 cup butter, softened
* 1 cup milk
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 1/2 tsp salt
Mix all of these ingredients until well blended. (I use my kitchen aid)
Add:
* 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
* 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Then add 5 large eggs, one at a time.
Pour into four 9-inch greased and floured round cake pans. Bake in a pre-heated 400 degree oven for 20 minutes.
Cool for 10 minutes, remove from pan and cool completely before frosting.

UPDATE:
Thanks Laura, I meant to post the icing but got distracted. You can always order one ;) This is the doubled recipe because I wanted a lot for between the layers.
Frosting:
2 sticks butter or margarine at room temperature
2 lb bag of confectioners sugar (powdered sugar), or about 6 1/2 cups
6-8 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Blend it all up and frost the cake.

You didn't put the frosting on... How can we frost our cake if you don't give the recipe for the frosting!!!!!! Maybe I should just order one. :)
