Oreo and Fudge Ice Cream Cake

This was another easy dessert to make, and you can make it a day or two ahead of time if needed. This would also be a great recipe to make with your children. They could do it very easily as a great practice reading a recipe.

Oreo and Fudge Ice Cream Cake
* 1/2 cup hot fudge dessert topping, warmed
* 1 tub (8 ounces) whipped topping, thawed, divided (simply means you will use some for one step and then the rest in a different step)
* 1 package (4-serving size) chocolate flavor instant pudding and pie filling
* 8 Oreo chocolate sandwich cookies, chopped (about 1 cup)
* 12 vanilla ice cream sandwiches
1. Pour fudge topping into medium bowl. Add 1 cup of the whipped topping; stir with wire whisk until well blended. Add dry pudding mix; stir 2 minutes or until well blended. Gently stir in chopped cookies.

2. Arrange 4 of the ice cream sandwiches, side-by-side, on a 24-inch-long piece of foil. Top with half of the chocolate whipped topping mixture.
3. Repeat layers. Top with the remaining 4 ice cream sandwiches.
4. Frost top and sides of dessert with remaining whipped topping. Bring up foil sides. Double fold top and ends to loosely seal packet. (You don't have to worry about getting it smooth and even because when you take the foil off you are going to get pretty patterns.) Freeze at least 4 hours before serving. Store leftovers in the freezer.

Everyone loved this! I liked it best when I put my slice in the microwave for 10-15 seconds so it became softer. Then I poured more hot fudge over it! Mmmm

Makes 12 servings

Excuse me, but I'm pretty sure this isn't healthy. :) And YUM. It looks SO GOOD. I will be trying this for sure.
