Well, I've had a nice little break (wish it had been relaxing ;) ) and now I'm ready to start thinking about healthy living again. I think I will try and fill in some of the recipes that I have missed over the last few months.
I took a week off of running to speed recovery from the 1/2 marathon. The nice thing was that I never actually felt very sore. Now I am ready to start up again and concentrate once more on eating appropriate food proportions. Here are my goals for this week:
1. Run 2 miles on Monday and on Wednesday and a 5k on Friday here in town. (Starting slow again so my daughter can join me. She wants to walk/run the 1/2 with us next year!)
2. Drink my 8 glasses of water every day.
3. Remember to take my multivitamin.
4. Be in bed by 10:30pm each night. I want to go to bed earlier because as the weather warms up I will need to wake earlier to get my run in during the coolest hours of the day.
I'll add to it next week, but let's get good at the simple things first. Well, I actually don't think these are simple, but I know that the water and sleep will make a huge difference in my health. I think if I can do those two things every thing else will fall into place easier.
