9 Tips to stay motivated to exercise by Gretchen Rubin

One of the blogs that I like to read is Gretchen Rubin's Happiness Project. She always posts tips on Wednesday on different ways to work on your state of happiness. This month she had a great tip that fits in with our healthy living theme. It was entitled "9 ways to stay motivated to exercise."

Some of my friends and I have started a new program to help each other stay motivated by reporting to each other when we exercise. It doesn't hurt that some of us are a little competitive and so we call each other to say, "The baby is down for a nap and I'm starting to exercise, are you going to today?" We can't be out done by the other person so of course we are going to tough it out and exercise! Just like Gretchen mentions in her tips, I always have more energy when I get out and do some form of exercise.

I've also noticed that on the days that I exercise, I tend to eat better. After all that hard work and sweating I don't want to mess up my efforts with junk food. So, here is to finding a good exercise routine that works for you, and eating healthy!

New recipe tonight, so watch for the post tomorrow.
